Boost Your Motivation

The condition of being without motivation is called demotivation. Being demotivated is arguably one of the worst feelings in the world. You feel as though you have no direction and, despite the fact that you are not getting any enjoyment out of getting nowhere, you feel no urgency or drive to make the effort to change your situation. Lack of motivation is a symptom of depression, but it may be caused by something else. As an example, you may lack motivation if you're having difficulties in coping with an issue in your life or experiencing something that affects your self-confidence. Reasons behind the demotivation of an employee:
  • Lack of Appreciation
  • Lack of Clarity in Work
  • Favouritism and bias
It is also shown among students too. Learning difficulties, personal problems and health issues are the main caused for them. It happens at times that students are unaware of a condition they have or simply neglect it, such as dyslexia, substance abuse, depression, etc.
Let’s see the reason of demotivation
  1. You are working without purpose
  2. Your lack of motivation stems from fear
  3. You’re doing things for the wrong reasons
  4. You take on too much and are overwhelmed
  5. You may be dealing with symptoms of a mental illness
  6. Your goals are too big
  7. You’re engaging in self-sabotage
  8. You believe you should have accomplished more by now
  9. You have a habit of not doing anything
  10. You’re settling and refusing to push your limits
 
While this may seem like a bleak situation, there is nothing get worried! Motivation is like money; even if you have none of it at the moment, you can always get some more!
If you’re reading this, you have most likely run into a wall of demotivation. Now re-think about it and see what actions you can take to get out of it.

The self motivation skill is ability to do what needs to be done, without influence from other people or situations. People with self motivation can find a reason and strength to complete a task, even when challenging, without giving up or needing another to encourage them. Self motivation is a very important tool of life. Self motivated person or a self motivated learner can learn many things in life. It is therefore very important to remain self motivated to continue learning things that are supposed to be learnt. Being self motivated not only helps you aiming at your goals and objectives but also leads you to attain them successfully.
 
You must remember self motivation leads you to success. Self motivation is the inspiration behind your behaviour and actions. It is an important mechanism that will help you to reach your goal, without external influence. Self motivation improves your confidence and self-esteem, as well as gives you strength to achieve your goal.
 
Self-motivation is very much important in the workplace. It's simple – motivated employees are better employees. They work harder and deliver higher quality outputs. Employees who have a high level of self-motivation also don't need as many incentives; they are good at motivating themselves.
 It is also necessary for students too. Provide constructive feedback by making comments which explain to the students what they need to do in order to achieve success. Choice gives students control over their learning. Holding students accountable for their choices helps them develop a feeling of competency which is so important for self-motivation.
 
 Let’s learn the motivational techniques
  1. Start Simple. Keep motivators around your work area – things that give you that initial spark to get going. Break down your work into smaller chunks.
  2. Find a purpose. You might already know what your purpose is, but it's good to review it and keep it at the forefront of your thoughts.
  3. Keep good company. Make more regular encounters with positive and motivated people.
  4. Keep learning, stop thinking, and track your progress and promise yourself a reward when you get something done.
  5. Know yourself, create the space, and give yourself occasional breaks to avoid burnout, tell yourself that you can accomplish anything, remind yourself why you want to do something.
  6. See the good in bad, help others, make your activities fun.
 Whereas many people succumb to burnout, procrastination or failure to act, highly motivated people can accomplish more and have fun doing it.  A motivated person has habits in place that work to keep them motivated. On a deeper level, people with continuous motivation are driven by what they want most in life. So, it does not matter how slowly you go as long as you do not stop.
